Purple as purple

Purple as Purple serves as a representation of the Afro/Caribbean community within the contemporary dance field. It celebrates the unique perspectives, cultural heritage, and artistic contributions of these young women, offering a platform for their voices to be heard and their stories to be told.

The abstract nature of the performance allows for a wide range of interpretations. Through the choreography, the dancers explore the emotional and symbolic associations of the color purple, evoking various moods, energies, and narratives. The performance might touch upon themes such as power, spirituality, transformation, and individuality, all while embracing the diversity and richness of the Afro/Caribbean culture.
