Vainergill Thurnim (1997, Amsterdam) is a freelance dancer, choreographer, teacher, and event producer that graduated from the Dance Teacher department at the Academy for theater and dance in 2020. Prior to that, she completed her pre-education and MBO at the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts. Through her diverse training in commercial and contemporary dance, she has developed a unique artistic style that incorporates West African dance aesthetics, allowing her to experiment endlessly with movement and expression.
Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with acclaimed choreographers such as Alida Dors and Roshanak Morrowatian, as well as esteemed theaters including Podium Mozaïek and CC Amstel. She has also collaborated with reputable organizations like ISH Dance Collective, ITA, Danstheater AYA, CREA and DOX further expanding her artistic network and repertoire.
