HALF of HOME

Home is a broad and deeply personal concept. It can be a place, a feeling, a memory, or the people around you. For some, home is a familiar foundation; for others, it is something that has been lost or needs to be rediscovered. In dance performance HALF of HOME, we explore the meaning of home and the role others play in shaping it.

Through encounters, confrontations, and moments of connection, a story unfolds in which personal experiences come together. It is a story about closeness and distance, about finding one another and losing one another.

The performance is brought to life by a refreshing mix of professional and non-professional dancers. Friends, family members, and strangers share the stage, and their real-life relationships lend the performance an authentic and intimate quality.

Blending contemporary dance with African dance principles, HALF of HOME is a dynamic performance filled with strength, vulnerability, and human connection. Each dancer brings their own story, presence, and energy to the stage.

HALF of HOME is not only about your relationship with home, but also about the role others play in creating it. It is a performance about meeting, connecting, and sharing our humanity, especially in a time when those things can no longer be taken for granted.
